Do Uenoyama and Mafuyu sleep together in the manga ? If so lmk what part 😭!
We're celebrating Mafuyu's birthday!
(Even though it's a bit late posting this, he still deserves all the love)
Happy birthday Mafuyu!!!
Y'all remember the post I made about the song that Ugetsu mentioned in volume 4 chapter 21.5? Well, in episode 11 one of the cd's Akihiko gave Mafuyu was the Paul Simon album called "Still Crazy After All These Years" which is also the name of the song that was mentioned by Ugetsu.
Also here's the song if you didn't get a chance to hear it.
What do you guys think? I think that this dragon would resemble Mafuyu really well. If you don't know this dragon is known as a Rainwing, which they are able to change the color of their mood & their surroundings. Since Mafuyu has troubles expressing himself, I thought this dragon would work perfectly for him. Next Time, I'll be working on Ritsuka Uenoyama!

As I'm rereading some of the manga I realized that on Volume 4 Chapter 18 pages 7 - 13 Uenoyama asked Mafuyu why hadn't he answered his text and he was irritated because Mafuyu had been spending a lot of time with Akihiko and Mafuyu asked if Ue was mad at him and he just kind of ignored him basically and didn't answer his question and then Mafuyu grabbed his arm while he was walking away and there were practically tears in his eyes as he said "......why...are you ang...ry?" and I just realized how scared he was and why he was scared. He was trying not to let the same thing that happed to him and Yuki happen to him and Uenoyama. My poor baby boy :(
Various promotional materials to coincide with Given releases are underway! Whilst artwork can occasionally be unique, either way best to document these news and content related areas on the wiki on articles such as this one! Not only is it nice Given being in the public consciousness, the materials are amazing, and the wiki can cover everything concerning Given!
I recently made a post stating that I think that Yagi looks like Keiji Akaashi from Haikyuu!! and some people agreed so I took it upon myself to kind of match Haikyuu!! chatacters with given characters.
First up is Sato Mafuyu. I think he is a lot like Takanobu Aone from Date Tech High. He isn't like him in the looks department however he is a lot like him personality wise. You could also compare him to Kenma Kozume from Nekoma High. Then again I also get Wakatoshi Ushijima vibes considering both are intense at specific times and are usually very dry and don't show too much emotion unless they're doing what they love (Playing volleyball for Ushijima and singing for Mafuyu.)
Second is Ritsuka Uenoyama. Hands down, he is Tobio Kageyama. No questions asked.
Next is Haruki Nakayama. He is 100% Asahi Azumane. They both have long hair, they're both really soft for people who look like they should be tough, and they both have trouble talking about their problems.
Now onto Akihiko Kaji. I kind of get Tetsurō Kuroo vibes. They both look intimidating but if you get to know them they have soft sides though Kuroo is a bit more playful.
Yay! Ugetsu Murata! I had a lot of difficulty with this one but I found out he is a lot like Tōru Oikawa. They're both passionate about their craft and they hate it when the person they're closest to (for Oikawa that would be Hajime Iwaizumi and for Ugetsu that would be Akihiko) gives up or doesn't try their best.
I would do Kashima and Yuki but I don't know too much about them so I can't really, however if you can think of a Haikyuu!! character that is like them please tell me and if you disagree or agree about these character matches please tell me :) Have a great day!
Though it does not apply to everyone, some people oftentimes ask which is better: manga or anime. Rather than subscribe to that way of thinking, there is a much better worldview, manga and anime, we can all enjoy both!
Because, if because were needed; A) never taking it for granted that anime can be made, not every manga receives an adaption and Given is delivering one outstanding one, B) it is simply an indisputable fact that both anime and manga are lovely, so here is a suggestion:
Like the two images present here, since the anime is doing such a good job of adapting the manga, and so let's gather the scenes in question in both their manga and anime forms; 1) since this wiki is an all covering encycloepedia on the Given series, it would not be amiss to document how scenarios are depicted between the two respective source materials, and 2) take a real good look at those images, take as long as you need, and then wonder to yourself why there is not already a page to feature manga and anime scenes because those images are two visual definitions of ultimate most cutest thing imaginable.
So yes, if people gather anime and manga depictions of scenes such as Ritsuka holding Mafuyu's face/squeezing his cute chubby cheeks, articles on the wiki can document such instances to show the manga to anime depictions and let's all employ ingenuity in showcasing content that is frankly important and informative to show.
